Happiness in a nutshell

''Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase...it means no worries for the rest of your days'' simple phrase from ''The Lion King'' movie but wonderful and significant at times when we forget that even in the saddest time of our life, happiness is there. It's just a matter of choice.

I was talking to a friend when she complained how life is so stressful and adding that everyone that she knows is having a tough time- one has lost loved ones, another almost gone broke, and few suffering major illness. All these bad news are making her life miserable and depressed.

Life can never be easier but there's something fascinating about it. I told her that the happiest people I knew had more problems than I or she did! But they are happy because at some point they decided “happy” is the only way to live. Happiness doesn’t just happen to us, and it never will happen if we think, ''I'll be happy when I have less problems'' .

We don’t find happiness in the absence of problems, we find it in spite of your problems. We choose it. We make the choice to be happy first for to seek joy is a daily decision.

Life is beautiful so smile :)

A poem for my Malaysia

The Glorious Roses

If there is a plant I won't miss planting in my garden, it's roses. Though it's not easy ( especially with the presence of its mortal enemies), every season brings a new learning experience, and it's lovely to see the colourful blooms adorning my garden containers. Among them, the baby pink rose always makes me smile with its delicate hue and graceful petals. Why? Because it reminds me of my mum… On the other hand, it adds to my muse. Roses are lovely but have thorns; so is our life sometimes or quite often too prickly. A Dream Journal

It was a normal end of school day, I was ready to pick my boys from the Shine Club- the after school club, right after concluding my very own fabulous chores in the classroom that I work. Everything and everyone seems so busy, I picked my boys and just then I remembered, I left my bag in the classroom that I was covering previously.
